The lens of my eye has witnessed the majesty of ice-capped Rockies, tulips blooming, deer nibbling on new shoots of grass, expressions of love and cuteness on faces dear to me.
You reminded me that you DO know every hair on my head, desires and needs, each heartbeat, and ... where do I end? Your majesty and splendour are all around and I breathe in You, Your spirit, Your everlasting span of faithfulness.
God has His hand on my body and areas of destroyed cells, this I know! I am comforted in that. His hands of healing are on me daily and am thankful.
"For You, Lord are my strength
You make my feet like the feet of a deer.
You enable me to go on the heights."
Hab. 3:17-19
You can take me to heights that exceed the depths -- You are HOLY, WORTHY!
"Father, continue to bring me along
so that I can rejoice in my sufferings,
because I know suffering produces
perseverance." Romans 5:3
I rejoice in this moment, new direction, pathway I am on. I don't know my tomorrow or next week, but God has me in His arms and I am secure, resting, hopeful in that!

One of my favorite promises is
ReplyDeleteYou hem me in,
Behind and before.
You have laid your hand upon me.
Palm 139:5
You and your family remain in my prayers.
Today as I sit in the morning sunshine and view the new growth from our flower beds, I am breathing in the hope for today and for any tomorrows. Please know our prayers are with you as you live in the hope of God's love and comfort and daily in the awareness of His presence. Love you!
ReplyDeletetoday in my prayer time, I was thanking our wonderful Savior for giving us you as our gift. As Mothers day again is in a couple of days, I am remembering the many of those special day I missed with my own Mother and then most mothers days for me when you kids were in boarding school and then later how separated we have been and have had to celebrate all the lost special days in one celebration - and it still seems to be the story of our lives. I am so thankful to the Lord that you are with your children on this Mothers Day - how wonderful that you have them around you - enjoy every special minute with them, they will all take to their separate ways soon and will be hard to celebrate with everyone able to be there. God is doing a miracle in your life and we continue to Praise Him, because He is in the Praises of His people ! Dad and I Love you and our prayers are all over you, giving you to Him again and again throughout the day, you are our child but really you belong to the Lord now and always. Family ties lengthen but are never broken by distance. You are a masterpiece of Grace ! Happy Mothers Day Sweetheart !

Dear Colleen, it's my day off - but Sanna is just preparing her Kids Club meeting for this afternoon, so I have time to pray and enjoy and remember and look into the future doing what you've been blogging about :) ....
ReplyDeleteWe feel blessed to be connected with you and experience how your service has helped us do what we do in the ministry setting here in Germany. Even NOT having you there this past easter for yet another work camp group prooved inspiring to us, since NOT having your guiding hand in so many things made what you do, and how you serve when God gives you the health to do that, even more evident. Tim, Edrin, Christine, David ... the list is LONG! ... of those who steped up to take your plate. I celebrate them and you today - expecting yet another visit to Uganda, Zambia, Benin or where ever you invite us.
The 2014 group is now promoting its projects, selling the TAPP products, pushing the sponsorship program (two events in Wolfsburg and Pforzheim yet this month) - so now we pray for your healing and the continuing of that to which He has called us to. Blessings from all of us in Germany to you and your family. Thanks for blogging, it helps us stay close and connected in prayer.
As I go to chemo treatments with a friend here, I realize you are at about the same week. I praise God for renewed hope; you expressed it so eloquently. I seek His face and know that He has yours in mind, as well. Sending you hugs across the miles. Sweet dreams my friend.
